Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-19
This policy explains what personal information Parsilator collects, why, who it goes to, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. It covers the Parsilator app for Android and iOS (app ID ca.parsilator.app) and the Parsilator website. Parsilator is a real-estate platform with an AI assistant, operated by Amirreza Mahmoudian Esfahani in British Columbia, Canada.
Who is responsible
- Parsilator is operated by Amirreza Mahmoudian Esfahani, British Columbia, Canada.
- For any privacy question, a copy of your data, or a deletion request, email amir@parsilator.com. We answer within 30 days.
- This policy applies to the Android app, the iOS app (both ca.parsilator.app) and the website. There is no separate policy for either app.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address, your name, and the role you choose (buyer, seller, renter, realtor, rental agent, managing broker, mortgage broker, lawyer or notary). Optionally a profile photo, phone number, short bio, brokerage name, and a licence number if you are a licensed professional.
- Listings and rentals you post: address, price, description, photos and video you upload, and for short stays the nightly rate, house rules, guest limits and the BC short-term rental registration number if you enter one.
- Your activity in the product: favourites, saved searches, compare lists, showing requests, open-house RSVPs, buyer preferences, offers and counter-offers with their full dated history, stay requests, and reviews you write.
- Messages you send to other users, and to the professionals in a transaction you are part of.
- Transaction files: the property address, deal type, key dates, the parties recorded on the deal, and documents uploaded to it — including documents shared with you and documents you are asked to send back.
- Electronic signatures: when you sign a document in the app we record your name, the date and time, the values you filled in, the signature you draw, and a cryptographic fingerprint of the document. These are written onto a certificate page attached to the signed copy — that is what makes the signature verifiable.
- Payments: what you bought and whether it succeeded. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page. We never receive, see or store your card number.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in tokens, stored in your device's secure storage so you stay signed in. They are removed when you sign out.
- If you turn notifications on: a push notification token and which platform you are on (iOS or Android), so we can alert you about messages, offers, showings and signature requests. Turning notifications off in your device settings stops this.
- How many times a sponsored banner was shown and clicked, as a running total per advert. These are aggregate counters for the advertiser. We do not use an advertising SDK, we do not read your advertising ID, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do NOT collect your location. The location permissions are deliberately stripped out of the Android build, and the map never uses your device's position.
- Our own activity analytics records property views, searches, saved homes, mortgage calculations and AI-question snippets in Supabase, using your account ID when signed in or a per-launch guest session ID. Linked agents receive lead-intent summaries; aggregated, anonymized demand reports may be sold to professionals. We do not use a third-party behavioral analytics SDK or cross-app advertising tracking.
Permissions the app asks for, and why
- Camera — only when you choose to photograph a property for a listing or capture a document. Optional; declining it only disables that button.
- Photos and files — only when you pick an image or document to attach to a listing, a message or a transaction. Optional.
- Microphone — only while you are actually speaking to Parsi, the AI assistant. Optional. See the AI section below for where the recording goes.
- Notifications — optional. Used for messages, offers, showing requests and documents awaiting your signature. Never for marketing you did not ask for.
- Internet and network access — required for the app to function at all.
- We do not request location, contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, or any permission to read other apps.
Parsi, the AI assistant
- AI sharing is optional and requires an affirmative choice in the in-app disclosure, separate from microphone permission. You can withdraw future sharing in Dashboard settings. Updated disclosures may require a new choice. Withdrawal cannot recall requests already sent or cancel background renders already accepted.
- Depending on the tool, we send messages and conversation context, saved preferences, recordings, selected photos/document images, property addresses, financial details, search queries and video scripts. We use these to answer questions, extract figures, research properties and generate media. Do not send another person's data without permission.
- Requests go through Rork/Vercel gateways and our Cloudflare service. Model/services used are Anthropic/Claude (chat and document analysis), xAI and ElevenLabs (speech recognition and synthesis, including fallback), Exa and Perplexity (web research), Google/Gemini (image processing), and ByteDance/Seedance and Alibaba/Wan model services (video generation). The selected tool determines which receives your content. Gateway hosting and provider retention follow their applicable service terms; we do not promise zero provider retention.
- Supabase stores signed-in chat history, preferences/memories, activity snippets, Studio job prompts, source-media URLs, outputs and saved 3D models. Relevant summaries and message excerpts may be shared with your linked agent in their CRM. Clearing chat requests deletion of chat messages only; it does not erase memories, activity, CRM, media or provider records. Audio may remain temporarily in device cache and is sent to the speech processor. For deletion of other data, contact us using the address below.
- Documents: if you upload an image of a document to a mortgage or loan file, an AI vision step may read that image to pull out the figures for the underwriting summary.
- AI review of a transaction only runs after you give explicit consent, which is recorded on the deal. It sends the deal details and document NAMES only — never the contents of a file.
- AI providers process this to answer you. It is not used to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
How long we keep it
- Account details: for as long as your account exists.
- Anything you can delete yourself — listings, messages, favourites, saved searches, your Parsi chat history — is removed when you delete it.
- Offers, stay requests and reviews stay for as long as the listing or transaction they belong to, so both sides keep their own record of what was agreed.
- Real-estate transaction and compliance records, and the accounting record of payments already made, may be kept after your account closes where record-keeping and tax rules require it. They are kept only for as long as required and are not used for anything else.
- After deletion, copies can persist for a limited period in encrypted backups before those roll off.
Deleting your account and your data
- To delete your account and the personal data attached to it, email amir@parsilator.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm it is you, complete the deletion within 30 days, and email you when it is done. There is no charge, and you do not need to reinstall the app to ask.
- Deleted with the account: your profile, your listings and their photos, your rentals, messages you sent, favourites, saved searches, buyer preferences, your Parsi chat history, push notification tokens, offers, stay requests and reviews.
- Kept afterwards, and only where the law requires it: FINTRAC records, financial ledger entries and commission records; real-estate transaction files, the documents attached to them and documents already signed; mortgage broker files; and the accounting record of payments already made. Your account is deleted either way — holding one of these records does not stop you closing your account.
- When such a record is kept, it is kept with your account link removed, so it is no longer part of any live profile. Your name and licence number are kept alongside it only so far as a regulator or the brokerage needs to identify whose record it was. If you hold none of these records, nothing is kept beyond the accounting record of payments. Nothing kept for either reason is used for any other purpose.
- You do not have to delete the whole account to remove something. Listings, messages, saved searches, favourites and your Parsi chat history can each be deleted on their own, from inside the app or the website, at any time.
How your information is protected
- Access rules are enforced inside the database itself, not just hidden in the app, so an account only ever receives the records it is entitled to — including against someone calling the API directly with their own tools.
- Private files — licences, loan documents, compliance files, signed documents and documents a client sends their agent — are held in private storage and reached only through short-lived links.
- Your sign-in token is held in your device's secure storage, not in ordinary app storage.
- Traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted in transit.
- No system is perfectly secure. If you think something is wrong with your account, email amir@parsilator.com and we will investigate.
Your rights
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Most of it you can see and change yourself from your account screen at any time.
- To make a request, email amir@parsilator.com. We respond within 30 days.
- If you are in British Columbia and you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Where your information is processed
- Parsilator is operated from Canada. Our service providers — including our database, payment, notification and AI providers — may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where different laws may apply.
Children
- Parsilator is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
- If we make a meaningful change, we update this page and change the effective date shown at the top. Significant changes are also announced in the app.
